    R&P is looking for a motivated individual who wants to join our team supporting a major PEO SHIPS program in Washington, DC. We are a small-sized defense contractor providing Engineering, Logistics, Program Management and Technical Services to government clients. We need a Program Support Manager ready to join a fast-paced and exciting work environment. This position will provide executive, analytical and management support services to the PEO SHIPS Program Manager, Deputy Program Manager and their immediate staff.

    • Organize, direct, and manage contract operation support functions, involving multiple, complex, and inter-related project tasks.
    • Integrate and coordinate of the program office operations including the management of records, schedules, and correspondence; long-term planning, deliverable tracking, task management and program management assistance; implementing and maintaining standard operating procedures for the program office.
    • Provide strategic planning and OPNAV Sponsor liaison analysis, technical assistance and programmatic support for the U.S Navy’s Global Concept of Operations, Industrial Base Reports, and Quadrennial Defense Review.
    • Develop, prepare, produce and recommend solutions to execute program goals and objectives.
    • Provide executive level support and liaison functions with Navy, DoD, Congress and other agencies and organizations.
    • Support document/brief preparation, issues analysis, public affairs actions, preparation of reports, responses to inquiries and ad-hoc data calls, and maintenance of historical files.
    • Prepare responses to Congressional inquiries and all issues/concerns originating from the Professional Staff Members and committee members in a professional and timely manner.
    • Assist in preparation of the DAES report, APB update and related Program Schedules, JCIDS/DoD 5000 Products, SMR, POM/PR Products, and Acquisition Strategy Reports and make recommendations to improve accuracy and clarity.
    • Assist in providing program administrative duties including staffing, training awards, briefings, graphic work, visual presentation, word processing and responding to internal NAVSEA requirements
    • Assist with providing support personnel cognizant of interactions between the program office and many other agencies and organizations within and outside PEO Ships.
    • Assist in the management and flow of information to and from the Program Office.
    • Assist in performing program monitoring and control efforts, including critical path management, forecasting upcoming and recurring Program events


    • Bachelor degree (BS/BA) in a related field is required.
    • Demonstrated experience of 10 years of professional experience in the Defense acquisition process; 3 years of the experience must have been within the last 5 years, and have been in support of DOD contract management is required.
    • Demonstrated supervisory experience is required.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of DOD acquisition management, contract, technical, and business management is required.
    • Must possess and exercise diplomatic tact and have the capability and capacity to develop and manage complex business relationships with multiple organizations.
    • Must be proficient in the full suite of Microsoft Office products and tools.
    • Travel (10-20%) may be required.
    • SECRET security clearance is required.
