Overview

R&P is looking for a motivated individual who wants to join our team supporting a major PEO SHIPS program in Washington, DC. We are a small-sized defense contractor providing Engineering, Logistics, Program Management and Technical Services to government clients. We need a Junior Business & Financial Analyst ready to join a fast-paced and exciting work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide programming, budgeting and execution support
  • Prepare, review, and revise funding documents for the government Business Financial Manager (BFM).
  • Update and maintain funding document tracker. Create Statements of Works (SOWs) and other uploads in ERP utilizing Document Management System (DMS) funding document for ERP submission.
  • Interfacing with personnel, field activities and contractors to collect and track financial data and information as required to support BFM and management.
  • Assist with tracking program financial status. Update and maintain financial tracking worksheets. Transfer data to department presentations.
  • Update and maintain Task Planning Sheets (TPS) as required.
  • Update and maintain POM worksheets: Review documentation for errors and preparing packages for BFM review.
  • Assisting with the gathering of information as required to meet data call deadlines and drills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field or High School Diploma and 5 years of financial analyst experience
  • At least one-year experience working in a Navy/DOD environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word and Outlook is required.
  • The candidate must have sharp analytical and research skills as well as provide exceptional customer service.
  • The candidate must have the ability to collaborate with team members, multi-task and adapt to change.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Secret Clearance
