Overview

R&P is looking for a motivated individual who wants to join our team supporting a major PEO SHIPS program in Washington, DC. We are a small-sized defense contractor providing Engineering, Logistics, Program Management and Technical Services to government clients. We need an Acquisition Management Lead ready to join a fast-paced and exciting work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide overall Acquisition/Contract Management task leadership demonstrating working knowledge and understanding of the complex requirements and financial analyses required to support the execution of an ACAT I shipbuilding program.
  • Provide contract management support to the Program Office Acquisition and Contract Manager in the efforts of maintaining all contract databases, presentations, and action item listings
  • Coordinate Prime Contractor Award Fee boards and creation of Award Fee documents and presentation
  • Track, report and provide metrics on Contract Data Requirement List (CDRL) submittals, dispositions, quality and timeliness
  • Review and maintain Data Management instructions, databases, and reports for Program Office.
  • Lead a team across multiple sites to provide direct support to the Navy Acquisition and Contracts Branch Head
  • Assist in the maintenance of conformed copies of contracts. Maintain all records of contract history including related financial documents, routing packages, contractor correspondence and backup documentation.
  • Prepare and assist with Incentive Fee/Award Evaluation Administration, to include coordinating, preparing, copying and briefing material based on government inputs, and coordinate the award fee review process in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract.
  • Assist in planning, conducting, analyzing, reporting, and manage responses to approval, review and informational CDRL submissions.
  • Assist in tracking and monitoring the requirements for CDRL submittals and replies.
  • Maintain the Data Management Plan and staff revisions, as required. Assist the Navy in the implementation of procedures in accordance with the Data Management Plan.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 10 years of demonstrated in-depth experience and specialized knowledge in the field
  • Seven (7) years of supervisory experience directly related to supporting DoD program offices with emphasis on acquisition and contract management.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge and understanding of the complex requirements to support the execution of an ACAT I shipbuilding program.
  • Must possess and exercise diplomatic tact and have the capability and capacity to develop and manage complex business relationships with multiple organizations.
  • Must be proficient in the full suite of Microsoft Office products and tools.
  • Travel (10-20%) may be required.
