Overview

R&P is looking for a motivated individual who wants to join our team supporting a major PEO SHIPS program in Washington, DC. We are a small-sized defense contractor providing Engineering, Logistics, Program Management and Technical Services to government clients. We need a Junior Contracts Management Analyst ready to join a fast-paced and exciting work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide general acquisition and program management support for a PEO SHIPS Shipbuilding Program Office
  • Provides contract analysis and reconciliation support for PEO Ships shipbuilding contracts
  • Assists program office with drafting various contract documents including base contracts, modifications, CDRL letters and other contractual correspondence.
  • Provides support on procurement policies, regulations, and procedures that result in cost savings for the Government.
  • Communicating orally in order to brief all customers on proposed acquisition cycles award processes.
  • Utilizing all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures while participating with a variety of Program Offices to ensure the acquisition plan, synopsis, procurement planning conference and justification and approval all include necessary information to facilitate a successful contract award.
  • Communicating in writing, independently preparing pre- and post-business clearances for every acquisition in order to document the contract file.
  • Assist in the preparation of program/portfolio review documentation and other reoccurring meetings/briefs

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2+ years of relevant professional experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project, and Microsoft SharePoint
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel pivot tables and other functions to compare data sets and develop accurate reports
  • Experience with DoD contracts (desired)
  • Experience in EVM and developing financial/budget analyses (desired)
  • Secret clearance
