Overview

R&P is looking for a motivated individual who wants to join our team supporting a major PEO SHIPS program in Washington, DC. We are a small-sized defense contractor providing Engineering, Logistics, Program Management and Technical Services to government clients. We need a Configuration/Change Management Lead ready to join a fast-paced and exciting work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide overall Configuration & Change Management task leadership demonstrating working knowledge and understanding of the complex requirements and financial analyses required to support the execution of an ACAT I shipbuilding program.
  • Provide configuration management (CM) support to the Program Office Baseline Director in the development, review, and approval of ship Baseline and Configuration Management (CM) products.
  • Provide CM status accounting of all Class I/II changes and associated information, and provide reports, schedules, recommendations, CM plans and policies, baseline metrics, and CM briefs as necessary to support in the Government's management of the technical and contractual baselines.
  • Provide support in the area of baseline contract alignment across the Program Office to maintain ship systems' baseline design configuration throughout the acquisition lifecycle, including: configuration control baseline (CCBL) management, technical baseline and change baseline.
  • Provide support in the area of the change review and approval process, including support of the Configuration Change Board (CCB) as well as local SUPSHIP level approval and associated status accounting management.
  • Provide management, status accounting maintenance, and coordinate functionality changes to the Configuration/Data Management System (CDMS) and Post Delivery Management System (PDMS) supporting new construction and post-delivery changes.
  • Perform the coordination required to maintain TeamCenter (TcE) Workflows and Business Objects related to Class changes (i.e., PCs, RCIAs, LIs, CCBL documents).
  • Function as the CM Liaison with SUPSHIPs, SEA05D, PEO IWS, the shipbuilders, and systems integrators.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 10 years of demonstrated in-depth experience and specialized knowledge in the field
  • Seven (7) years of supervisory experience directly related to supporting DoD program offices with emphasis on Configuration & Change Management.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge and understanding of the complex requirements to support the execution of an ACAT I shipbuilding program.
  • Must possess and exercise diplomatic tact and have the capability and capacity to develop and manage complex business relationships with multiple organizations.
  • Must be proficient in the full suite of Microsoft Office products and tools.
  • Travel (10-20%) may be required.
  • SECRET security clearance is required.
