    R&P is looking for a motivated individual who wants to join our team supporting a major PEO SHIPS program in Washington, DC. We are a small-sized defense contractor providing Engineering, Logistics, Program Management and Technical Services to government clients. We need a Senior Configuration Management Analyst ready to join a fast-paced and exciting work environment.

    • Provide HW and SW Configuration Management (CM) Subject Matter Expertise. Major areas to be supported include the Combat System (CS), Information Assurance (IA), Exterior Communications (EXCOMM), C4I, Navigation, and Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E) elements.
    • Assist Program Office Baseline Manager with identifying local change process requirements, developing CM policy and guidance for hardware and software baseline management, and managing modifications to ship configurations during new construction and post-Obligation Work Limiting Date (OWLD).
    • Develop and present briefing materials to outline CM and baseline requirements and issues, Standard Operating Procedures and other CM documentation to support program level reviews and progress meetings, as required.
    • Monitor planned upgrades for availabilities to ensure Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) and other required artifacts are available.
    • Attend CM forums, Coordination Product Group (CPG) meetings, Navy C5I Modernization Conferences (NCMC), as required to discuss current initiatives, provide current CM data, and provide an overview of CM processes, as required.
    • Liaison with shipbuilders, Supervisor of Shipbuilding, Regional Maintenance and Modernization Coordination Office (RMMCO), South West Regional Maintenance Center (SWRMC), CS Project Officers/Engineers, industry, and other SMEs to identify and resolve CM issues, and track/maintain configuration information


    • Bachelor degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Demonstrated 10 years of professional experience in Combat/Mission Systems Configuration Management; 5 years of the experience must have been in support of a shipbuilding program.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of New Construction, Post Delivery and Engineering Support
    • Demonstrated knowledge of Acquisition Management.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of shipbuilding requirements.
    • Must possess and exercise diplomatic tact and have the capability and capacity to develop and manage complex business relationships with multiple organizations.
    • Must be proficient in the full suite of Microsoft Office products and tools.
    • SECRET security clearance.
