    R&P is looking for a motivated individual who wants to join our team supporting a major PEO SHIPS program in Washington, DC. We are a small-sized defense contractor providing Engineering, Logistics, Program Management and Technical Services to government clients. We need a Ship System Integration and Test Manager ready to join a fast-paced and exciting work environment.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide overall Ship System Integration and Test Management task leadership demonstrating working knowledge and understanding of the complex requirements and financial analyses required to support the execution of an ACAT I shipbuilding program.
    • Provide technical and technical acquisition management support to the Program Office Technical Director and Deputy Technical Director to manage technical efforts to maintain detail design and perform technical oversight and evaluation of integration, construction, and ship activation activities.
    • Manage assignment and the completion of action items and ensure the full spectrum of services are provided in direct support of Technical and Deputy Technical Directors for maintaining the detail design and integrity of the construction of Program Office ships.
    • Coordinate technical and technical acquisition management support to the Total Ship Integration and Test (TSI&T) Manager for the design integration and test, and ship activation and test of all ship systems.
    • Coordinate technical and technical acquisition management support to the HM&E Systems Integration Manager for the integration and test of HM&E systems.
    • Coordinate technical and technical acquisition management support to Mission Systems Integration (MSI) Officer for the integration and testing of warfare systems and Command, Control, Communications, Computer, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems, including those systems provided as GFE.
    • Coordinate technical and technical acquisition management support to the Software Integration Manager for the integration and testing of Government-developed software
    • Coordinate technical and technical acquisition management support to the Aviation Systems Integration (ASI) Manager for the integration and test of aviation systems, including those systems provided as GFE by NAVAIR.
    • Coordinate business and financial execution and contract management support to the Technical Director.
    • Serve as the Program Risk Manager and execute the program Risk Management Plan.
    • Coordinate Human Systems Integration (HSI) subject matter expertise in the areas of engineering control, damage control, and ship control (bridge operations) in the context of manpower, personnel and training requirements.
    • Coordinate Environmental, Safety, and Health (ESH) expertise to ensure the Program is in compliance with Federal and State Law, Department of Defense policies, and all other applicable regulations.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
    • Minimum of 10 years of demonstrated in-depth experience and specialized knowledge in the field
    • Seven (7) years of supervisory experience directly related to supporting DoD program offices with emphasis on Ship System Integration and Test Management.
    • Demonstrated working knowledge and understanding of the complex requirements to support the execution of an ACAT I shipbuilding program.
    • Must possess and exercise diplomatic tact and have the capability and capacity to develop and manage complex business relationships with multiple organizations.
    • Must be proficient in the full suite of Microsoft Office products and tools.
    • Travel (10-20%) may be required.
    • SECRET security clearance is required.
