Overview

R&P is looking for an experienced Junior Post Delivery Hull Engineer who wants to join our team. We are a small-sized defense contractor providing Engineering, Logistics, Program Management and Technical Services to government clients. We need a Junior Post Delivery Hull Engineer ready to join a fast-paced and exciting program to redesign and improve the U.S. Naval Shipyard capabilities for the U.S. Navy.

Responsibilities

  • Provides support at NAVSEA's Washington Navy Yard Facility during the Post Delivery period.
  • Participate in Planning efforts and review Post-Delivery Work Specifications and ECPs.
  • Provide onsite support during Planning Reviews, Shipbuilding Production Progress Conference (SPPCs), and Trials, as required.
  • Provide onsite Engineering support during Post Delivery Availabilities.
  • Provides technical assessments, evaluations and advises the Government on equipment and system problems that arise in connection with or during Post-Delivery test and trials.
  • Provides Post Delivery Hull Engineering during the Post Delivery window.
  • Supports the government Hull Manager on-site during PSA and is the focal point for all technical issues during the Post Delivery period.
  • Resolves HM&E engineering design and technical issues of the HM&E portion of the Post-Delivery Work Package.
  • Reviews work items for technical accuracy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a business or technical field
  • 0-5 years relevant experience in engineering/science management, production management or schedule analysis.
  • Experience in U.S. Navy programs or operations, preferred
  • Active Secret Clearance
