R&P is looking for a motivated professional who wants to join our team. We are a mid-sized defense contractor providing program management, ship design, production, cyber risk management, testing, logistics, financial management, test and evaluation, configuration management, post-delivery, fleet introduction, light manufacturing, as well as maintenance and repair services to our government clients and industry partners. We need a senior-level Waterfront Engineering Tech ready to join a fast-paced and exciting work environment in support of the Strategic & Theater Sealift Shipbuilding Program (PMS 385) and specifically to the Expeditionary Fast Transport (EPF).

• Apply ship production subject matter expertise in the areas HM&E Electrical Test such as 60 and 400 HZ power generation, protection, transfer, conversion and distribution systems as well as 24/28 VDC generation, conversion, distribution and control systems.
• Provide investigation of and resolution for engineering issues while referencing ship specifications, shipyard contract, drawings, models, and other technical documentation. Perform shipchecks as required.
• Perform test witnessing, progressing, and technical engineering assessments of electrical, electronic equipment and systems.
• Assists in construction oversight and review to ensure compliance with product specifications.
• Develop, review, and provide appropriate feedback on test procedures and ship drawings
• Identify risks and provide analysis of emergent issues to include recommendations for risk mitigation and/or resolution. Identify lessons learned for incorporation in future ships.

• Bachelor's Degree or 10+ Years' of directly relevant waterfront experience in a shipbuilding environment in lieu of degree.
• Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
• Active Secret Clearance
• Ability to work in an industrial environment (i.e. shipyard)
