Overview

R&P is looking for a motivated individual who wants to join our team supporting a major PEO SHIPS program in Washington, DC. We are a small-sized defense contractor providing Engineering, Logistics, Program Management and Technical Services to government clients. We need a Program Manager ready to join a fast-paced and exciting work environment. This position will provide management support for the post-delivery efforts on the Navy's new Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC).

Responsibilities

  • Organize, direct, and manage contract operation support functions, involving multiple, complex, and inter-related project tasks.
  • Manages the development, budget, planning and execution of repair and installation on newly acquired Navy landing craft. 
  • Maintains and manages the customer interface at senior levels of the customer organization.
  • Meets with customer and contractor personnel to formulate and review task plans and deliverables.
  • Ensures conformance with program task schedules and costs.
  • Develops and enforces work standards.
  • Provides quality assurance, communicates goals, objectives, and policies.
  • Provides financial management and project administration.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree (BS/BA) in a related field is required.
  • Demonstrated experience of 10 years of professional experience in the Defense acquisition process, contract management, technical and business management; 3 years of the experience must have been within the last 5 years, and have been in support of DOD contract management is required.
  • Demonstrated experience of 7 years of professional experience in the specialty area of landing craft lifecycle management or engineering support.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of DOD acquisition management, contract, technical, and business management is required.
  • Demonstrated understanding of DOD contracts and contract analysis and working knowledge of DOD contracting processes in the technical or programmatic area is required.
  • Must possess and exercise diplomatic tact and have the capability and capacity to develop and manage complex business relationships with multiple organizations.
  • Must be proficient in the full suite of Microsoft Office products and tools.
  • Travel (10-20%) may be required.
  • SECRET security clearance is required.
