R&P is seeking an experienced Ship Production and Post-Delivery Analyst in San Diego, CA to support the PMS 500 program office. PMS 500 is responsible for the design, construction, outfitting, testing, fleet introduction, and modernization of DDG 1000 Zumwalt Class Destroyers.
• Support Production Manager and Program Manager’s Representative (PMR) with coordination, inspection, and reporting status of maintenance and modernization work aboard San Diego based DDG 1000 Class ships.
• Support Final Contract Trial (FCT) availability and Post Repair Trial (PRT) planning efforts.
• Coordinate with waterfront teams, industry partners, ship’s crew, fleet and government stakeholders.
• Conduct trial card recording, tracking, coding, and trend analysis.
• Assist Zumalt Class crew(s) with Board of Inspection and Survey (INSURV) preparations to include conducting mock INSURV inspections, providing crew training, performing equipment validation and check-out, trouble- shooting and technical resolution of problems.
• Provide recommendations to customer regarding prioritization of deficiency correction based on impact to ship and operational requirements.
• Provide onsite deck plate production support, document deficiencies, and assist with compartment completion inspection, certification, and acceptance of contractor work.
• Proactively identify risk and issues requiring resolution.
• Provide equipment validations and ship checks.
• Provide written weekly progress reports.
• Lead technical discussions for external and internal project reviews.
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with customers, stakeholders, subcontractors, vendors, and industry.

• Ability to travel up to 10% to support customer requirements
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in operations, maintenance, installation and testing of Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E) Systems aboard Navy vessels.
• Must possess the skills and ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing.
• Must possess and exercise diplomatic tact and interface with the customer.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products and related software.
• Work is combination of sedentary and mobility demands. Significant time will be spent in a shipyard or shipboard environment. Must be physically able to work in an industrial, shipyard and shipboard environment including supporting ship underway time up to 1 week. Must be able to climb ladders and traverse steep inclines and be able to lift a minimum of 35 lbs.
