Overview

R&P is looking for a motivated individual who wants to join our team. We are a small-sized defense contractor providing Engineering, Logistics, Program Management and Technical Services to government clients. This is an ENTRY LEVEL position. We need a junior Program Analyst ready to join a fast-paced and exciting work environment. This is a junior, introductory position. A DoD clearance is required, but we are acepting applicants that do not have a clearance and will work with them to obtain one as part of the hiring process. 

Responsibilities

For this ENTRY LEVEL position, the employee will be trained to accomplish the functions listed below, in support of the Supervisor of Shipbuilding in Bath, Maine:

  • Perform analysis to identify ship production trends and provide forecasts and ship production progress status.
  • Participate in ship tests, compartment completion inspections, certifications, at-sea ship trials and trial card pre-screening.
  • Conduct trial card recording, tracking, coding, trend analysis, and engineering analysis using TSM or another similar automated information system provided by the Government.
  • Provide Ship’s Force with periodic trial card reports.
  • Prepare materials for trial card entry into TSM or another similar automated information system provided by the Government.
  • Provide change management support and administrative support to the DDG 51 Class PMR, Production Officer, and Ship Superintendents/Production Controllers.
  • Provide technical and engineering analysis of production related  issues.
  • Develop and maintain construction performance and schedule adherence metrics for the DDG 51 Class Program.
  • Provide waterfront production support, which shall include: monitoring HM&E equipment installation; inspections of shipboard installations to determine completeness including change incorporation; coordination with ship’s force and shipbuilder in preparation for Light-Off Assessment; and investigation and reporting of production or quality problems related to HM&E Systems.

Qualifications

  • Highschool graduate
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Self-starting personality 
  • Ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance

Salary
