Overview

R&P is looking for an experienced Executive Assistant who wants to join our team supporting the Navy's Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) shipbuilding program office (PMS 501) in executing its responsibility to satisfy the current and future Navy needs for LCS. We are a small-sized defense contractor providing Program Management, Acquisition, Engineering, Logistics, and Technical Services to government clients.  R&P offers a highly competitive compensation package that includes contributions towards health insurance, 401(k) matching, and other non-salary benefits. Exact salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and deconflict schedules, facilitate meetings, escort guests and manage correspondence. 
  • Assist in resolve complex acquisition, production, and in-service challenges faced by the Program Office.   
  • Work with program office personnel to develop Program Office briefings, point papers, and action item responses.   
  • Provide specialized program management support to include, but not limited to assisting in developing briefing material, action item responses, or point papers on a variety of topics.
  • Prepare, revise, and route official correspondence, assist with travel coordination for Program Office personnel in the Defense Travel System (DTS), manage meeting, coordinate and reserve conference rooms, take meeting minutes, and other Program correspondence, as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors and 10+ years’ relevant experience or HS Diploma with 20 years' relevant work experience
  • Active DoD Security Clearance
  • DoD experience (required)
  • Prior Navy Executive Officers support (preferred)
  • Proficient with MS Office
  • Proficient with Sharepoint Online implementation
  • Proficient in the creation and handling of US Navy Correspondence
  • Must commit to 4 days per week on-site at the Washington Navy Yard
